Here at SLW Consultants we are customer advocates that help mitigate road bumps, speed humps and potholes during a project’s lifecycle. We help facilitate information on the customer’s side with ‘only the customer’ in mind. We work with Project Managers, Fabricators, Skilled Trades, Equipment Vendors, and Ancillary Suppliers to any project.
One of our bigger jobs is we identify risk early in the process to help mitigate impact to a projects timeline, budget, and quality. Whether it’s mechanical, electrical, or logistical, we help navigate the time before the installation of the project.
Then during a project’s execution, when unforeseen items arise, we can focus on providing solutions that the customer can choose from and identify the best path forward to minimize a projects impact.
direct connection is good…
Question to customer, how many hours a week / for how many weeks for a project would be needed? What is the project scope? Time frame? Capital cost?
Our service can be utilized as a direct connection into how the overall project is proceeding. We are able to help and assist identifying multiple paths forward, then get into specifications. We work well with Engineering Services Providers ESP that manage the project. We will challenge the ESP’s as they work thru the documents/drawings needed during a project. Our 3rd eye reviews of documents and scopes of work will mitigate project confusion. Remote meetings via Teams/Zoom helps minimize billable time and maximize everyone’s time.

Not all equipment suppliers build for the same outcome. Some suppliers provide slower rates with equipment cost for economy while other machine builders run high rates with output driving budget. Understanding what options with cost can provide an organization with ammunition needed for project justification. We really enjoy tweaking and making things perfect so you don’t have to.

We contribute to quality events, including root cause analyses. Implement corrective actions to eliminate product and process deviations. We also engage in continuous Improvement projects to drive efficiency and optimize manufacturing processes.
Most important, we act as a liaison between departments, validating the accuracy of drawing details and maintaining configuration management design requirements. Then we verify the quality, consistency, and adherence to good design practices.

SLW evaluates moderate and complex manufacturing processes by conducting process analysis, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials, conferring with suppliers, and soliciting observations from operations, production technicians, and managers.
We also refine and enhance manufacturing processes by applying continuous improvement and key lean manufacturing/production principles and techniques to areas of production. We pride ourselves on identifying and implementing solutions for issues relating to safety, quality, productivity, and cost reductions.
